Join us at Blue Rascal Distillery in Hammonton, NJ for pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty night out!

Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Feel free to come early, grab your seat, and purchase a drink (outside food/snacks are permitted and drinks are available to purchase throughout the class, too!). Class will start promptly at 6:30 PM! 

Class Expectations: Yes, lefties are welcome too! This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics, and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style!  If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher and hopefully a chance to try some new supplies from our beginner kit that will re-introduce you to this lovely form of art!

A note on bringing guests 21 and under: While we love to share this passion with kids, Blue Rascal Distellery is a 21+ establishment. Please take a look at our other classes at all-ages venues!

Arrival info-

You can bring your own snacks and DiMatteo will be serving up their amazing wine, so grab a friend and enjoy a creative & relaxing night with us! Please do not bring outside wine. 

Class runs about 2 hours. There will be down time while the candles set. 

Please don't be late as it's not an easy "catch up" since we are waiting for candles to cool. 

Information about the candle-

You will make one soy candle using premium fragrances, cotton wicks and pure soy wax. Feel free to mix and blend your own unique scent with the choices we have! Once your candle sets, we will have crystal chips or wax embeds for you to decorate the top of your candles with! We can't wait to see you!!

Join us November 20th at 6:30pm for a fabulous paint and sip night instructed by Cassidy who will lead you through painting a wine glass that is perfect for the holiday season to either keep for yourself or hand out as a present!

The event will take place in our veranda. We will have our lite fare menu available for the evening, or you are more than welcome to bring your own snacks to enjoy while crafting.

Wine Flights will also be available during the day. A Wine Flight includes 4 two (2) ounce pours from a preselected list. We will have a Holiday Flight available as well which includes our four holiday wines that are available in the wine bundle.

Lite Fare Menu

Join us Sunday December 7th at 1pm for a Wine and Chocolate Pairing and Discussion with owner, Jim Quarella.

Jim will be joined by Chocolate Enthusiast, Kerry, who will go over the history of chocolate and why chocolate and wine work so well together.

The pairing will include four (4) wines and five (5) different chocolates, and a souvenir Bellview Wine Glass. The price to join Jim and Kerry for the Chocolate Pairing is $25 per person.

The chocolates include : Chili, Orange Almond, Raspberry, Vanilla, and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt.
